Our staff have Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General security worker certification. This certification process includes fingerprinting and criminal background checks through the RCMP.
Travelling can be stressful, and our company will ensure that you have less to worry about. Our services are tailored to fit your specific requirements. We provide an electronic report with a digital photograph which will be emailed to you following each home check. Each digital photo has time, date and GPS information in its metafile. After each visit, we sign a Home Check Log which we leave in your home.
It's important to make sure your home is being properly looked after by responsible service providers. Should you need to file an insurance claim for damages which occur while you are away from home, our services show your insurance company that you have complied with your homeowners policy.
What you need to know about homeowners insurance
Please read your homeowners insurance policy and talk to your broker or agent. They will let you know what your policy requires when you leave your home unattended. This is a constantly evolving topic within the insurance industry. Your broker is your best source of advice and information. We can't advise you about your homeowners insurance requirements, but we can offer a number of options to help put your mind at ease when you're away from home.
Exterior and interior walk-around looking for apparent damage or security breaches.
Mail and flyer retrieval from mailbox. Bring in any materials left on doorstep.
Check all windows and doors, including pet doors, garage doors and sheds.
Run faucets and flush toilets. Check for water leaks at all visible and accessible plumbed outlets.
Change position of curtains and blinds. Change setting of light timers to give the home a lived-in look.
Check circuit breakers.
Test smoke detectors.
Water house plants as per instructions.
Sign Home Check log after each visit.
Email electronic visit report with photo containing time, date and GPS info to Client.
Sort, scan and email any important mail or documents to Client.
Forward mail or documents to Client as required.
Feed, water and cuddle pets as per instructions.
Pet litter services.
Provide access to the home for tradesmen, landscapers, pet-walkers, house cleaners, etc.
Welcome Home Services.
Re-set thermostats, stock fridge.
Primary Home Checks are charged out at $25 per visit. They include any or all of the Primary Services listed above.
Concierge Home Check service charges vary depending on the nature of the service. If Concierge services are added to a basic Primary Home Check there will be a $5 additional charge per service. If Concierge services are provided independently of a Primary Home Check, the minimum charge will be $25.
